“Mirrored” Rolando's Fracture of the Base of the Fifth Metacarpal

DESCRIPTION A 58-year-old woman was involved in a motor vehicle accident. She sustained diffuse swelling over the dorsum of her dominant hand along with a hematoma extending from the level of the metacarpophalangeal joint to the wrist. There was also extensive bruising over the palmer aspect. There was no obvious neurovascular compromise.
